STUDENT MENTOR TEAM

One of the key aspects of communicating the possibilities of pathways to a career in creativity is through the voice,  stories and skills of outstanding University students across the School of Creative Industries. Workshops in our HUB schools are facilitated by Student mentors across a diverse range of disciplines, and with a diverse range of stories as to how they got there.

Selected University Student Mentors come from a range of degrees and all have unique skill sets. All students have been trained in:

  • Cultural Training at the renown Wollotuka Institute (at University of Newcastle) in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Mentorship.
  • Virtual Reality Training with (VR) Specialist Andrew Gallagher at VRXP Studio in Newcastle.
  • Film Making Training with Kristi Street and Dr Susan Kerrigan.
  • Animation Training with Jane Shadbolt.
