After completing my HSC and receiving my ATAR, I enrolled in a Bachelor of Communication, majoring in Media Production. Once I completed that degree, I had a year away from university and then came back to study a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration. I am currently in my final year of this degree and it is my intention to continue my studies through to honours.

During my time at the University of Newcastle, I have had the chance to participate in a wide range of creative endeavours. From film making to writing, and painting to animation, UoN has provided me with some incredible opportunities that I would not have been able to experience elsewhere. I have worked at gigs at Bar on the Hill and met some amazing bands and musicians; I have been the producer for the campus’ online TV station, YAKTV, as well as a contributing writer to YAK Magazine. More recently, I have become the face of the Natural History Illustration degree through my role as Student Ambassador, been awarded the external William Fletcher Tertiary Grant and become a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators.

In the future, it is my aim to continue my education through research opportunities with a focus on the dissemination of scientific and medical knowledge through entertaining graphic mediums.
